My daughter and I spent a few weeks in Treasure Beach during September of this year. The water was calm and beautiful for a two week stretch and each morning we would go for an early snorkel along the shoreline from Jakes to Frenchman's Beach. One such morning we observed a Hawksbill Turtle with a scale missing from his shell, resting below a reef shelf. What a gift it was.
Two days later, while on the Jack Sprat beach around six in the morning we noticed a turtle track and followed it right to the gate of Folichon Villa, where we observed the very same turtle (missing shell scale) digging her nest under a sea grape tree. It was a site to behold and an experience we will not soon forget.
